IMA Speaker

Cash flow analysis, profit center, sophisticated charts of accounts, income tax on unrelated business, GL, AR, AP issues. Sounds similar to issues facing a for-profit organization. Pat and Lana openly discuss the accounting and management challenges that face Greensboro's major non-profits.

Patrick Danahy is President/CEO of the Greensboro Partnership, the umbrella organization for the Greensboro Chamber of Commerce, Action Greensboro, and the Greensboro Economic Development Alliance. Previously, he worked for Cone Mills Corporation for 28 years and served as the President and CEO of the organization from 1991 to 1999. Danahy holds an undergraduate degree from Notre Dame, earned a MBA from the University of Virginia, and served in the United States Navy. He has served Greensboro's for-profit and nonprofit communities for many years including service on the Board of Trustees and also as Chair of Guilford Technical Community College, the Board of Directors of Moses Cone Health System, and the Advisory Board of UNCG's Bryan School of Business and Economics.

Lana Davidson is the VP of Finance, CFO of the United Way of Greensboro. She graduated from the University of North Carolina.
